We wrapped up our fundraising efforts for CrossFit Vidor that was hit hard by Hurricane Harvey. Our total donation will be $825! That is huge, and thanks to everyone who contributed. We’ll send that and some CFS gear this week their way. Look for the post to come on our FB and Instagram pages.

Our September 11th workout was certainly a tough one, as it should be, to remember those fallen, and that day.  That exact workout will be repeated next year at CrossFit Surmount.

This week we have some snatch technique work, a long chipper for Meredith’s birthday comprised of things she told me she doesn’t enjoy, and a fun partner workout Saturday.  October will begin another focused strength cycle, but with different lifts from our previous cycle.

Reminder, the 7 am class is not being offered currently with our transition to seasonal schedules. Some days, an open gym session at that time will be held, it will be announced the evening before.  Also, reminder to please sign in ahead of time to the 11:45 and 4:00 classes.

A new organization that we have paired up with for an event in October is Pittsboro Elementary. I know many of you have children who attend there, and they have a 5k on October 14th that we will be organizing the Kids Obstacle Course for.  Adults and kids can run the 5K, and then after, the kids can try out the CrossFit themed obstacle course for a donation of your choice.  All proceeds go to the school.  This will be a fun event for sure and a great way to spread out community wings! We are officially registered as a Barbells for Boobs team! More info on this shortly about how to raise money for the cause and so forth. T-shirts will likely be ordered as well.  We will be having this event on November 11th (new date). This is a great fundraiser, and certainly has a special place for many of us this year.  You can start fundraising if you’d like or just join our team right now, by going to this link and click here.
