First, tell us a little bit about yourself. What are your interests outside of CrossFit?
My Name is Yogesh, I moved to NC 3 years back, I am currently working at NC DHHS in RTP area. We are family of 4, wife Madhavi, Son Atharv, Daughter Aarohi.
Outside of CrossFit, I love to play cricket, play with my son Atharv.
How and why did you get involved in CrossFit?
I got involved in CrossFit, to stay fit and healthy. One thing which attract me to CrossFit is work outs is not a routine, its different everyday. There is not a single week, I don’t have soreness (which is good feeling that I have done some workout today)
What was the first workout that you completed?
I don’t remember exactly, it was Saturday workout with 5 rounds of 400 meter run, 20 box jumps, and 20 wall balls.
What are your current and future training goals?
There are many but current Ongoing training goals are – Pull ups/Chest to bar (at least 5-7 non-stop), Rope climb, do Cleans, Jerks, snatch more cleaner approach, maintain good form during barbell exercises.
What is your favorite activity or lift, e.g., pull-ups, dead-lifts, running, front squats, snatches, burpees, etc.?
Descending order favorite activities are – running, Cleans, front and back squats, burpees.
What is your least favorite activity or lift?
Overhead squats, least favorite and something which I want to improve.
What PR are you most proud of achieving and why?
Almost all workouts make me proud because, I can see either I am improving the time or quality or quantity of weight.
What do you enjoy more, strength or conditioning and why?
Earlier days, I use to like conditioning but now I started liking strength, because of encouragement from respective coaches assigned to classes I attend.
